Does your URL look anything like this:
user.com/blah-blah/area/blah/blah/blah.html?
Well, get rid of it and get a nice short - clix.to/you address!
That's right, you're new URL can be: clix.to/yoursite.
Short, easy to remember, and I can even spell it! The best part is, it's "super-fast" and no one will know your real url...kewl! And you won't find better support anywhere on the web. Why? Because Clix.to is a Bravenet service and Bravenet is the "leading provider" of FREE web services. Highly recommended.
UPDATE: Bravenet now offers "5" different URLs to select from...get yours now, they're going fast!
Talk about insight...these guys cornered the market on cool .to names without a doubt. Only pitfall, and it's a minor one, they are without a doubt the biggest player in this field, which means the name you want to use may already be taken.
UPDATE: I received an email from Remy at V3. They now have over "90" domain names available to select from, so it's a good chance you "will" be able to find the one you want. In addition, they now have 3 ad options available: pop-up, frame, and relay page. And if you desire, you can pay $18 and show no ads at all! Upgraded to a Top Pick!
Free domain redirection service offering the following: 2go.it, 2play.it, 2surf.it, 2win.it. Pretty catchy selections if you have a games or links site. Give them a look!
hmmm...cool service, but what's the catch? You don't have to display any advertisements at all! You can also cloak your real url which is a great feature. Call me a skeptic, but they must have a hidden agenda here somewhere?
This site would certainly be a top pick if they offered more choices than just a splash page to use their services. They are BIG, and are also only one of the few that give you free email that matches your url. They have a nice selection of names to pick from and it's a very informative site which always helps. Worth exploring.
Gotta love the name...I do! Too bad they don't offer an email service. Anyway, isCool is the only name they offer, but there are very few restrictions. Only drawback is the pop up ads. You can have them removed for a nominal fee. A nice feature is url cloaking. No one will ever know your real url, unless you want them to of course. You can also include your sub-pages. Give it a look!
Just an average url service at most. From what I could tell, you will have to dislpay a banner in the bottom frame of your site. They offer serveral domains to choose from. Not much help on the site at all.
